If the accident could have potentially been your fault:
If an accident was your fault, your rights do not change. You are still entitled to use a repair centre of your choice. You are not obliged to use an approved repairer, chosen by your insurance provider.
Insurance approved repair centres are likely to be chosen by an insurance company as they are cost-effective for the insurer. These repairs centres could potentially use different repair methods compared to a manufacturer approved repair centre. They might try to repair a part to keep their costs low rather than replace it. They may not even use genuine parts.
It is important you use a trusted repairer to fix your vehicle, as you are putting your future safety into their hands. We ensure the crash safety rating of your vehicle is completely retained by strictly adhering to manufacturer repair methods.
The process with a fault claim:
Once we receive your enquiry, we will ask for images of the damage. Depending on the extent of the damage, we may be able to complete an assessment based solely on the information provided. If this is not possible, we will arrange an appointment for you to come and visit us, and we can inspect your vehicle.

Your insurance company will need to approve our estimate before we proceed with any work. Once we’ve received authorisation, we can order the parts needed for your vehicle. When the parts have arrived, your vehicle will enter the workshop. We update our customers on the progress of the repairs twice weekly.
The diagram below shows the workshop stages. All vehicles we work on are reinstated to their pre-accident condition following the manufacturer's repair methods and fitting genuine parts where available.
