We pride ourselves on the quality of work, not the speed of work. We will always try to complete your vehicle repairs promptly; however, repair timeframes depend on the extent of damage, as no accident damage is the same.
At the time of booking your repairs, please notify us of any holidays or trips away that fall within 4 weeks of your booking date. The reason for this is that although we accept requested completion dates, we aren’t always able to guarantee them. The quality of work is something we do not like to jeopardise by rushing repairs, and if we feel that there may not be enough time carry out your vehicle repairs before your travels, then we would inform you immediately.
Yes, we can arrange for you to have a hire vehicle; however, this is subject to availability.
Replacement vehicles are usually required to be returned within 24 hours of the notification of repair completion (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Failure to do so could incur charges.
The excess on your policy is the first amount liable as part of the cost of your vehicle repairs. The insurance companies ask us to collect the excess and deduct it from our invoice to them. We require this payment before we can hand over the keys to your vehicle. We accept payment via card or BACS.
We are all too familiar with the financial strains we all have in life. In this situation, we are unable to release your vehicle until payment is received. We will agree on a reasonable payment date; following that date, storage charges apply. If you are in a replacement vehicle, you are more than welcome to continue using that replacement vehicle until you pay; however, it will be chargeable.
Insurance companies add on a non-approved repairer excess to sway you away from selecting a repairer of your choice, hoping you will be persuaded to go with their “insurance-approved repairer.” This is because they are usually the cheapest in the area, which normally comes at the cost of the quality of work. At a manufacturer approved repair centre like Autoright, the cost of repairs isn’t a consideration, and the only focus is on the quality of work.
We would strongly advise against using an insurance company’s chosen repairer, as they may not fit genuine manufacturer parts to your vehicle, and they may also be pressured to repair parts that ought to be replaced.
If the insurance company has added a non-approved repairer excess, please contact us. Do not let this sway you from your choice of who repairs your vehicle. In some cases, we can remove this cost entirely.
Yes.
If you are VAT registered, you do have to pay the VAT and any applicable excess on the repairs. You will be invoiced for this, and you can claim the VAT back on your next VAT return. We will advise you of the VAT amount and any applicable excess once the repairs have been completed and the invoice has been finalised. Payment is required before we can release your vehicle back to you.
